Enslaved Persons Named: Tony, Richard

On June 23, 1847, Joseph A. Anderson, Liberty County, sold to Charles B. Jones and Henry H. Jones, trustees for his wife, for $1000 “two certain negro men slaves named Tony [alt: Toney] and Richard said negro men being placed in trust, in lieu and in place of the above named sums of money which was held for the use of my wife Evelyn E. Anderson.” Witnessed by J.S. Bradwell, S.A. Fraser, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded on June 25, 1847, by J.S. Bradwell, Clerk.
