On January 4, 1847, Edward B. Baker, planter of McIntosh County, and Lewis E. Baker, McIntosh County physician, sold to John Jones of McIntosh County for $1200 “the following negro slaves to wit, Sue 29 years of age and her children Sally 8 years of age Albert 4 years of age, Aaron 6 years of age Harriet 2 years of age and Ned four months old.” Witnessed by Thos. [Thomas] A. Houston, Ch. [Charles] W. Thorp, J.P. Recorded on May 7, 1847, by J.S. Bradwell, Clerk.
