Comments: The first set of enslaved people were divided into five lots, with lot no. 4 going to William John Winn, and the remaining four lots reverted to the estate.

Second set of slaves beginning with Old Rose were listed in inventory separately: “…shown us by Mr. Thomas W. Fleming Executor on Estate J. Wilson Winn being property which was purchased from Mrs. Mary Bacon during her natural life by said J. Wilson Winn and was appraised and divided into five equal parts or lots and that lot no. 4. Containing the following named slaves to wit Big July, Nelly’s Frank, Giny, Prentice, Pauldo, Affee, Rose’s Frank & Phillis, making total eight in number was drawn by William John Winn, the other four lots Nos 1, 2, 3, & 5 reverting to Estate.” This note dated February 11, 1859. Lots 1, 2, 3 & 5 were not specified in this separate list.
