On February 1, 1845, R.W. Gould, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note on $450 to the executors of John Lambert’s estate (Thos. Mallard, E. Stacy, W.Q. Baker, J.B. Mallard, and W. Jones) “the following named negroe slaves viz. George, Abram, and Bounty…” Witnessed by W. Harrison, S.A. Fraser, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded on February 5, 1845, by J.S. Bradwell, Clerk. [NOTE: Written on this deed was “Satisfied in full, E. Stacy acting Exor. Entered this 17th March 1856. S.A. Fraser, C.S.C.L.C.”]
