Comments: Unsure of what “Cr” in the list below stands for. Inventory also included “1950 acres land known as S. Hampton, Purchased of B. King A.D. 1838, and 54 acres land known as Woodville, Col. Island.” A subsequent document stated that Roswell King Jr. had died on July 1 1854 leaving a will that was “improvidently” admitted to record; however, it had only been attested by two witnesses and as such, was struck down by the Supreme Court of Georgia. J.R. King, Mary E. Wells, J.A.M. King, G.F. King, and W.H. King had petitioned that the the estate be declared intestate and that Mrs. Julia R. King be appointed the administratrix. Dated Sept 1, 1855.
