On February 4, 1842, W.T.E. Baker sold to Jno. [John] S. Fleming for $1100 “the following named slaves (viz) Sally – Catharine – Jane – & Alfred.” Witnessed by Jas. S. McCollough, Wm. [William] Spencer, Jos. R. Bacon. Probated by Wm Spencer before D. Zoucks, J.P. on the same day. Recorded on May 8, 1843, by E. Way, Clerk.
