On August 19, 1852, James J. Miller acknowledged receipt from E. Daniel of “two negro boys to wit Richard & Moses the same being left to me by my grand father John Miller in his last will and testament. He also received $4057.35 “in full for my claim on cash account.” Witnessed by L.B. Daniel and probated by same on October 6, 1852. Recorded on October 6, 1852.
