On March 6, 1848, S.S. Moody, Jackson Bird, Addison Way, Moses W. Way and Joseph Way sold to J.S. Bradwell for $300 “one certain negro man named Stepney…” Witnessed by W. Harrison, S.A. Fraser J.I.C.L.C. Recorded on March 16, 1852.
