On May 24, 1849, William G. Martin and J.S. Bradwell, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $322 To the executors of John Lambert’s estate (Thos. Mallard, E. Stacy, William Jones, W.Q. Baker, John B. Mallard) “the following named slaves with the issue of the females to wit Titus and Nanny to have and to hold said slaves with the issue of the females…” Witnessed by S.S. Moody and S.A. Fraser, J.I.C. Recorded on May 25, 1849, by J.S. Bradwell, Clerk. [NOTE: This deed was marked “Satisfied this first day of March 1851. E. Stacy, act Exor. Est. John Lambert. Entered this 11th Jany 1855. S.A. Fraser, Clerk.]
