On November 18, 1848, Mary Dunham, Liberty County, gifted to her daughter Fanny B. Ashley, through her trustees A.C. Dunham and W.R. Gignilliat, “a certain negro woman named Jenny and her infant child named China.” Witnessed by M.J. Dunham, G.W. Dunham, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded on May 8, 1849.
