Enslaved Persons Named: Old Sam, Young Sam, Jane

On May 1, 1858, John Perry, Liberty County, gave to his son Stephen S. perry “the following negro slaves viz. Old Sam aged about twenty five years, Young Sam aged about nine years and Jane aged about thirteen years with the increase of Jane.” Witnessed by John O. Perry, W.E.W. Quarterman, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded on January 24, 1859, by S.A. Fraser, Clerk.
