Gaulden, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $8000 to John Stoddard, Chatham County, “the following twenty four slaves to wit Abraham, Esther, Nancy, Mary, Cain, Abel, Stephen, Jenny, Jack, old Mary, Dye, Davy, Ned, George, Rachel, London, Jim, Sawney, Maria, Tilbe + child Cate, old Philis, Young Phillis.” WItnessed by R.
