“Received December 7 1857 of James Smylie Executor on Est. of James Smylie deceased Morn* [alt: Mourn] a woman valued at $3000 Racheal [alt: Rachel, Rachael] a woman valued at $500.00 Sarah a woman valued at $600.00 and Lenard [alt: Leonard] a boy valued at $900.00 my distributive share of said Estate.” Signed by Sarah Darsey and James Darsey [both signed by mark]. Witnessed by E. Daniel, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded on May 18, 1858, by S.A. Fraser, Clerk.
