On January 21, 1856, William L. Walthour, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $2500.00 to George W. Walthour, Liberty County, “the following named female slaves, with their future issue and increase /viz/ Lily Tirah Doll Lucy Patty and her child Jacob and Phoebe.” Witnessed by W.A. Fleming, J.T. Rowland Jr., W.O. Fleming. Probated by J.T. Rowland Jr on May 12, 1856. Recorded on May 12, 1856, by S.A. Fraser, C.S.C.L.C.
