On [not given] March 1854, Mary Bacon, Liberty County, sold to J. Wilson Winn, Liberty County, for $800, to be paid over her lifetime, “all my life times interest & claim to the following negro slaves & the future issue of the female slaves, viz. Joe, Frank, July, Abram, Ned, William, Toney & James, Judy and her children Joshua & Anna, Patty & her infant child Peggy & her child Sally, Nelly and her children Phillis, Frank, Amos & Maria, Louissa [alt: Louisa] and her children Nanny, Mary, Dye & Josaphene [alt: Josephine], Little Rose, and her children Sharper and Frank, Sophia & her infant child, Jenny and her children, Billy, Alex & Prentis, old Rose and her grand daughter Fancy.” Witnesses: G.W. Dunham, Wm. N. Way, D.A. Miller. Probated by David A. Miller on March 8, 1854 before T.W. Quarterman, J.P. Recorded on March 13, 1854 by S.A. Fraser, Clk.
