Comments: Conducted so that Stnaton Haymans could receive his share of the estate. The estate was inventoried and appraised, and the appraisers concluded, “We find that the average share is $1521.66 and a suitable lot consisting of three negros to wit, Minty, valued at 1000, Jane, valued at 100, Tamar valued at 400” plus cash of $21.66 equalling $1521.66 “was assigned to Stanton Haymans as his distributive share of said estate the balance of the Estate left was left in the hands of executors. The land of the said estate was left undivided.” [Transcriber’s Note: Names of enslaved people listed in this inventory were unusual. Not clear if these were actually their names or just eccentric spelling by the appraisers.]
