Georgia, Liberty County } It is agreed between E.H. Bacon and O.T. Bacon to exchange negroes – that is E.H. Bacon gives the boy Dick in exchange for the boy France to which exchange O.T. Bacon assents. And it is mutually agreed that the boy Dick is to take the place of the boy France in every particular stated in the deed made by E.H. Bacon to O.T. Bacon of the boy France dated 22? January 1857 & recorded in the clerk’s office of the Superior Court of Liberty Co. IN Book O. Folio 504. Vix it is to be considered an advance by E.H. Bacon to said O.T. Bacon valued at three hundred dollars & said sum of three hundred dollars is to be deducted from the share of said O.T. Bacon in any estate said E.H. Bacon may leave at his death.” Witnessed on March 19, 1862, by W.P. Girardeau, Notary Public. Recorded on December 1, 1862, by S.A. Fraser, Clerk.
