Ann. A. McConnell, Liberty County, sold to Samuel D. McConnell, of Marion County, Florida, for $800 on November 29, 1864, “a negro girl named Josephine of black complexion and about twelve years of age.” Witnessed by W.R. McConnell, James D. McConnell, Notary Public. Recorded on December 5, 1864, by Jesse Brewer, C.S.C.L.C.
