Nathaniel Pratt Quarterman purchased from Thomas W. Fleming for $5200 on May 18, 1861, “the following named Slaves with the issue and increase of the females viz. Peter aged about forty six (46), Pauldo aged about twenty eight (28), ?Ceze? Aged about thirty four (34) old Muriah aged about fifty six (56) Rodger aged about twelve (12) old Rachael aged about fifty two (52) Ben aged about fifteen (15) Georgia aged about eleven (11) Little Cinda aged about twelve (12) and George aged about eight (8)…”  Witnessed by Jos. N. Miller, Jno. B. Mallard, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded on June 9, 1863, by S.A. Fraser, Clerk.
