Enslaved Persons Named: Grace, William

Elizabeth Perry, Liberty County, gave to her daughter Isabel Daniel and her children “the following negro slaves, to wit: Grace a woman aged about thirty seven years and William a Boy aged about nineteen years, with the issue of the female, also a promissory note made by Samuel [???] to amount of six hundred dollars with the interest thereon now in the hands of Isaac Perry also a small stock of cattle now in the hands of said Isaac Perry.” The gift was made via Elias A. Daniel, also of Liberty County, who was acting as Isabel’s trustee. Witnessed on October 9, 1861, by W.H. Bradley, E. Daniel, J.I.C.L.C. Elizabeth Perry signed via mark. Recorded on October 24, 1861, by S.A. Fraser, Clerk.
