Enslaved Persons Named: Beck, David, Lizzie.

Benjamin S. Screven, of Liberty County, used as collateral on a debt to Peter W. Fleming, guardian of Alice G. Walthour, both of Liberty County, on March 1, 1860: “the following negro slaves, with the issue of the females (viz): Anthony about 35 years of age, Beck about 35 years, David about 4 years, and Lizzie about 1 year of age.” Witnessed by ?M? L. Walthour, [could not read], Thos. [Thomas] W. Fleming. Sworn to before W.E.W. Quarterman on March 5, 1860, and recorded by Jesse Brewer, Clerk, on April 27, 1860.
