Comments: The physical possessions of McPherson B. Griffin were appraised separately, at $272.95 by Joseph Law, Wm. N. Way, and Daniel A. Miller on 3 May 1848 (same page as the reference below). Then the charge was given to the appraisers listed above to appraise the trust estate of M.B. Griffin and S.A. Bacon. Then the appraisal of the enslaved people was given separately, listed as an appraisal of the estate of B. Griffin and Susan A. Griffin, first as an appraisal of all 15, then dividing them into two lots. The first lot went to the children of Mrs. Sarah Way, wife of William N. Way, and the second lot went to the children of Eliza Martin, wife of William G. Martin.
