Susanna H. Jones. Last Will and Testament dated May 10, 1810. Probated January 7, 1811. Gives to son Charles Colcock Jones, when 21 or marries; to her daughter, Susannah Mary Jones, when 21 or married. If both children die before of age or marriage, then one-third of her estate to go to her son-in-law, John Jones, and two-thirds to her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Jones. Executors: Brother-in-law, Joseph Jones, and in case of his death, then brother-in-law Andrew Maybank and friend, James Dunwoody [alt: Dunwody]. Witnesses: Isabel Cuthbert, J. A. Cuthbert, James Holmes.

“To beloved son Charles Colcock Jones the following negroes with their future issue (to wit) Rosetta and Lymus to him and to his heirs forever, to be received by him at the age of twenty-one years or day of marriage.” If he dies before either event happens, the two “negroes and their issue” will to to her daughter Susanna Mary Jones.
“The remainder of my negroes (to wit) Paul, Willoughby, Annett [alt: Annette], Siner, Kate, Lizzy, Cato and Cassius (eight in number) with their future issue I give and bequeath unto my two children Charles Colcock Jones and Susanna Mary Jones share and share alike and to receive their respective proportion, at the age of twenty one years or day of marriage. If either dies before one of those events, their share goes to the survivor; if both do, two thirds goes to her son-in-law John Jones and the other third to her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Jones.
