Testator: Mary Russell, Liberty County, State of Georgia

Bequests:

    • Gives to son Edward W. Russell “my two negro men David and Kit.”

    • To grandson Edward the son of E.W. Russell “my negro Cupid.”

    • To son Henry Russell “my negro woman named Peggy.”

    • To grandchild Sarah Eliza “my negro boy Joe.”

    • To sons Edward W. Russell and Henry Russell in trust for the use and benefit of her son James Russell “my negro woman Cretia with the increase of her body.”

    • To granddaughter Ann Mary daughter of G.W. Walthour Esquire and his wife Mary “my negro girl Phoebe.”

    • Wills that whatever money might have been due her at her death by either of her sons, Edward W. Russell or Henry Russell not to be demanded of them by her heirs but to be retained by them for their own benefit and use.
