Liberty County Will – Sarah Quarterman

[Will Summary]

Testator: Sarah Quarterman, widow, Liberty County, State of Georgia

Bequests:

  • To grandson Quarterman Way the tract of land on which she now lives, with all its buildings and improvements, as well as “my negro man slave Marlborough, my stock of cattle, my horse, and all my household and kitchen furniture.” Quarterman Way is to pay one fourth of her debts.

  • To son John S. Quarterman or to his heirs, gives one third of her remaining estate; children of her deceased daughter Susannah Bacon get another third; and the children of her deceased daughter Sarah Stacy the final third. Each of the above mentioned parts to pay a fourth of her debt.

Executors: son John S. Quarterman, son in law John Bacon
