Georgia, Liberty County } I James S. Bradwell being of sound mind and disposing memory, knowing that man must die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others.
Item 1 – After my just debts are paid I desire that my property both real and personal be equally divided between my legal heirs, and that this division take place at any time or may be directed by my beloved wife.
Item 2 – I desire that my children may be educated as well as their circumstances will possibly permit.
Item 3 – I desire that my boy Charles a wheelwright & blacksmith, after he shall have paid one hundred and fifty dollars to my family, shall be sent to Liberia in Africa, and that James. N. Jones and David Zoucks be entrusted with the execution of this my request knowing them to be my true friends.
Item 4 – I nominate and appoint my beloved wife Executrix, and my father in law Simon Fraser and my friend Simon A. Fraser Executors to this my last will and testament, but should it please God to spare my life until my son shall arrive at the age of manhood, then I desire that he and his mother shall act.
Signed sealed and published as my last will and testament this 19th day of February 1853.
