Margaret Ladson of Liberty County. Last Will and Testament dated October 17, 1812, probated May 16, 1814. Gives to her husband, William F. Ladson, and after his death to Sarah Margaret, the second daughter of her brother, Alexander Irvine, and to Alexander Irvine her brother, Kenneth Irvine her brother, and sister Eliza Bayley. Executors: John Elliott, Esq., William F. Ladson and Alexander Irvine. Witness: MaryAnn Ladson.

To her husband William F. Ladson: “the full use and possession of the under mentioned negroes during his natural life; also their natural increase for the same term. The names of the negroes are as follows: viz. January, Corah, Doctor, Clarinda, July and Janus [or possibly James or Jonas]. At, or upon, the death of my husband, I give the above negro girl Cora [spelled with “h” above and without here], with her natural increase, to the second daughter of my brother Alexander Irvine, called Sarah Margaret, of the said Sarah Margaret and her heirs forever. The rest of the above specified property, it is my will, upon the death of my husband, William F. Ladson, should be equally divided between my brother Alexander Irvine, Kenneth Irvine, and my sister Eliza Bayley.”
