Will Summary (published 1964)
Daniel Robert Elliott, planter, of Burke County, Georgia. Last Will and Testament executed in Liberty County where he is in a low state of health, will dated February 17, 1810. Probated June 4, 1810. He directs that his plantations in Liberty and Burke Counties to be sold, also his slaves to be sold, and his lot in Plymouth, Massachusetts, to be sold by the Executors. His brother, John Elliott, to have preference in buying certain of the slaves. Testator gives to his wife, Betsy, ¼ of his estate, and to his two daughters, Jane Amarintha and Catherine Elizabeth Elliott, and the child his wife is now pregnant with, 3/4ths of his estate. Certain household items now in Plymouth, Massachusetts, to be retained by wife. His pew in M. Kendall’s Meeting-House in Plymouth, Massachusetts, he gives to his wife and children. Executors: His brother, John Elliott of Liberty County, and Capt. John Whitehead of Burke County. Witnesses: William Ward, John Coleman, John Lawson.
