On February 14, 1825, John N. Way, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $315 to Uriah Wilcox, same county, “a certain female slave named Florinda, & her two children named Jim & Amy, together with the future increase of the females…” Witnessed by John M. Warland, Moses W. Way. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on February 17, 1825. [NOTE: Marked as satisfied as of February 1, 1841. Satisfaction recorded on March 15, 1841.]
