Enslaved Persons Named: Jacob, Betty, Jane

On June 7, 1824, Moses Way, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $1600 to Uriah Wilcox “a male slave named Jacob, & two female slaves named Betty & Jane, together with the future increase of the females.” Witnessed by William Robarts and D. R. Perry. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on June 17, 1824.
