On March 8, 1824, Thomas Mallard, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $410.50 to Uriah Wilcox, also of Liberty County, “a female slave named Patty, & her four children, named Chloe, Simon, William & Joshua, together with the increase of the females.” Witnessed by Y.S. Pickard, Rodney Pease. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 5, 1824. [NOTE: Marked as satisfied in full as of April 1, 1839, by Oliver Stevens, administrator. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on September 29, 1839.]
