Enslaved Persons Named: Caesar
On February 20, 1823, Benjamin Fuller, planter of Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $224.93 to John Girardeau, also a planter of Liberty County, “one negro slave named Caesar.” Witnessed by Jon’n [Jonathan] Bacon, William P. Girardeau, who probated the deed on September 18, 1823. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on September 23, 1823.
