On April 12, 1836, John O. Baker, his wife Frances A. Baker, and John Dunwoody, trustee for Frances A. Baker and her children, sold for $1200 to Artemas Baker, planter, “two negro slaves Malissa [alt: Melissa] and her daughter Georgeanna [alt: Georgianna]…” Witnessed by E.W. Russell. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on December 3, 1836.
