Enslaved Persons Named: Ben, Will, Charles, Addeline
On January 16, 1836, James S. Bradwell, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $600 to the Bank of Darien “four certain negro slaves to wit, Ben, Will, Charles, and Addeline [alt: Adeline]…” The note was made out to the Bank of Darien, and William Robarts was the endorser. Witnessed by William P. McDonnell, William B. Gaulden. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 7, 1836.
