On June 5, 1820, Lewis Hines sold to Mary Jane Hazzard for $475 “a negro girl Flora, about eighteen years of age, which negro I purchased from Andrew F. Fraser, planter of Liberty County, and State above mentioned, for the said Miss Mary Jane Hazzard.” Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on October 4, 1833.
