Enslaved Persons Named: Mary
On January 7, 1832, Carnack [or Carnick] Swilly, of Liberty County, sold to Celia Bradley, also of Liberty County, for $300 “one certain negro girl named Mary, about fourteen years of age.” Witnessed by W.P. Girardeau, John Salter. Girardeau probated the deed on April 22, 1833 before Samuel Harville, J.P. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 24, 1833.
