On July 15, 1832, Henry R. Russell, planter of Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $186.81 to Uriah Wilcox “a certain male slave named Sam.” Witnessed by J.S. Fleming, who probated it on August 24, 1832 before John Dunwody, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded on September 10, 1832, in Liberty County Superior Court. [NOTE: Marked as Satisfied.]
