Enslaved Persons Named: Tenah

On May 16, 1841, O. [Oliver] Stevens, administrator for the estate of U. Wilcox, released “the woman Tenah” from a mortgage against John W. Stacy, after receiving $152.35 payment on the mortgage. He authorized the Clerk of Court to enter this release into the record. Recorded on July 14, 1841, by E. Way, Clerk.
