On April 10, 1841, Bartholomew A. Busby used as collateral on a promissory note of $5040 to the firm of George W. Anderson and Brother (George W. Anderson and John W. Anderson) “all the following Negro Slaves to wit Cina Abram Isaac Jacob Jane Philip Dick Caty William Jackson Charlotte Ben Cato Eve Margarit Sylvia Kate Lydia Charles Tom Jim Adam Simeon Patty Abraham Mary and Toney twenty seven in number together with the future issue and increase of the female Slaves.” Witnessed by R.R. Cuyler, Notary Public. Recorded on May 28, 1841, by E. Way, Clerk.
