On February 3, 1840, G.W. Dunham and Ann C. Hart used as collateral on a promissory note to the executors of John Lambert’s estate (Thomas Mallard, John Dunwody, Wm. Q. Baker, Ezra Stacy, William Jones) “the following named Slaves with the issue of the females to wit: Pussy, James, Tom, Tenah, Sam, Windsor, Jack, Leah, Prince, Rachel, Moses, Patty, Frances, Ned, Joe, Molly, William, Clarinda, Rosannah and Richard…” Witnessed by Geo. W. Walthour, M.S. Jones, William Spencer. Probated by Moses L. Jones. [NOTE: Written on this deed was “Satisfied in full by new Bond given March 1st 1851 by Mrs. A.C. Hart. May 11, 1860. Jno. B. Mallard. Exor Jno. Lambert. Entered May 6th, 1861. Jesse Brewer, C.S.C.L.C.”]
