On December 16, 1845, Julia Ann Bacon, Henry W. Bacon and Edward Way, all of Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $200 to George W. Walthour, Liberty County, “two certain negro slaves viz Joe and Ginny…” Way signed as a trustee for Julia Ann Bacon. Witnessed by Henry H. White, Robt. [Robert] C. Hines. Probated b Henry H.
