On January 31, 1845, John B. Barnard, Liberty County, sold to John Jones, McIntosh County, for $550 “the following negro slaves: to wit Dorcas twenty years of age, and her child Paul eighteen months of age…” Witnessed by J.N. Jones, Jos. Law. Recorded on March 4, 1845 by J.S. Bradwell.
