James McCollough [alt: McCullough]. Last Will and Testament dated October 13, 1802; probated December 10, 1810. “Being in a low state of health,” gives to his wife, Elizabeth, one half of his estate, and the other half to his son James Sullivan McCollough. If the latter dies before he is 21, then his interest to go to said wife “during her natural life”, and at her death to the children of John McGowen. Executors: Wife Elizabeth McCollough, and Samuel Stevens, Thomas Baker, John McGowen. Witnesses: Joseph McGowen, Mary McGowen, Joseph Austin. [NOTE: Items in quotes added from original will.]
