On September 20, 1828, Daniel Stewart, Liberty County, gifted to Ann Baker, the wife of Richard S. Baker, Liberty County, via her trustee, William N. Way “a certain negro woman slave named Chloe, together with her future issue and increase,” out of the “love and affection” he held toward her. witnessed by J.S. Bulloch, Jno. [John] Dunwoody, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded by J.S. Bradwell, Clerk, on October 14, 1847.
