On April 1, 1856, William B. Fleming used as collateral on a promissory note of $800 to Thomas W. Fleming, agent of John W. Quarterman, “the following named Slaves with the issue of the females (viz) Nanny Little Sharper Samuel Molbro [alt: Marlboro or Marlborough] Missouri and Julia children of the said Nanny said negroes being already subject to a mortgage to the executor of John Lambert…” Witnessed by T.W. Quarterman, J.P. and Geo. T. Handley. Recorded on October 3, 1856, by S.A. Fraser, Clerk.
