Enslaved Persons Named: Harriet, Clark, Florah
Georgia, Tattnall County } Received June 12th, 1856, of M.J. Moody my guardian the following property to wit three negroes Harriet and her two children Clark and Florah and $928 dollars in full and complete satisfaction of all my right title or interest in and upon the estate of my father the said James K. Archer deceased and I the said Mary Ann Archer do release and releave [SIC] the said M.J. Moody my guardian from all pains and penalties as Guardian on said Estate forever on testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day & year above written.” Witnessed by Penelope Moody, Jas. H. Smith J.P. Signed by Mary Ann Archer. Recorded on June 16, 1856.
