On  May 28, 1828, at Sunbury, Joseph Law, Liberty County, sold to Josiah S. Law for $400 “one negro girl named Delia Slave with her future issue & increase.” Witnessed by Jos. Law, Jno. B. Barnard. Probated on September 4, 1855, by Jos. Law, who appeared before Wm. J. Way, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded on August 20, 1855, by S.A. Fraser, Clerk. [NOTE: Note the difference between the date the sale initially was made and the date it was probated and recorded.]
