In an August 6, 1862, session of the Liberty County Inferior Court in chambers, it was recorded:

“The following county orders were passed

John Girardeau L.S. $6.25
S.A. Fraser $25.00
S.A. Fraser $5.00
Two negro boys Peter & Cyrus $40.00”
