IN the Name of God Amen. I John Todd of Liberty County
State of Georgia, Planter, being weak of Body, but of perfect mind
and Memory, thanks be given unto God; calling unto mind the Mortality of my Body, and knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to
die, do make and ordain this my last Will & Testament, That is to say
principally & first of all, I give & recommend my Soul into the Hand of
Almighty God that give it, & my Body I recommend to the Earth, to be

nothing doubting but at the general resurection [sic], I shall receive the same
again, by the mighty Power of God. And as touching such worldly Estate
wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this Life, I give, devise, and dis-
-pose of the same in the following Manner and form:-
First, I give and bequeath to my only Son William Todd two tracts of
Land containing two hundred Acres, known by the name of Todds Bluff
one hundred granted to my father, the other to myself, to be held by Him
his Heirs & Assigns for ever together with all its appurtenances &c.
Secondly, I give to my Daughters Jean Hathorn & Mary Todd fifty Acres Land each;
with all its appurtenances to them the said Jean Hathorn & Mary Todd their
Heirs & Assigns for ever, it being a part of the Plantation I now live upon
Lastly I give to my dearly beloved Wife Mary fifty Acres Land it being the
remainder of the plan[tatio]n I now live on, together with all my Negroes, Cattle
of every kind, household goods, Bonds, Notes, Debts & all move able Effects, whatever
to be in her possession, & at her sole use & disposal, during her lifetime, but
what remains at her death if any thing, to be equally divided among my
three children William, Jean, & Mary, And I do constitute, make and
ordain John Thorp & Dorcas his Wife, & Will[ia]m Thomas Harris Jun’r my
Executors & Executrix of this my last Will & Testament, And I do hereby utter-
-ly disallow all former Wills & or Executors, ratifying this and no other
