On August 16, 1805, William Maxwell, Bryan County, gifted to Sarah P. Maxwell, widow of his deceased son William Maxwell, “the following negros and their future increase viz Peter, Rachel, Clarasa [alt: Clarissa], Kate & Jupiter.” Recorded in Bryan County Superior Court on October 10, 1805.
